Donations To Our Neighbors...
Castlewood High students came together last week to collect health supplies, pet supplies, clothing, food, and other items to send to the victims of the Gatlinburg fires. The items are being delivered by the Russell County Sheriff's Department. Special recognition go to CHS Cheyenne Bush, who along with her family, visited others in the community to collect many items for donation. The event was sponsored by the FBLA D.A.R.T (Disaster Awareness Response Team) and the PETS (Protect Ensure Teach Support) Team. Cheyenne prepared a number of thank you cards, but so many of you gave--we want to say "Thank You" for reminding us or our community pride!

Castlewood High School is located in Castlewood, Virginia. Our school offers Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment, and Career/Technical courses in addition to other academic courses. The home of the Blue Devils began in the fall of 1950, being built after a fire destroyed Temple Hill School. Castlewood High School integrated in 1965 with students from Arty Lee High School in Dante, Virginia.
John E. Carter was the first CHS principal, and this year the faculty , staff, and community are working with the leadership team of Mr. Nathan Breeding, Principal, and Mrs. Lila Jenkins, Assistant Principal. Castlewood High School has a student body of 413 and 25 faculty members.
